تفصيل:
Pacorus II ; king of Parthia ruled the Parthian Empire from about 78 to 105. A son of Vonones II and brother of Vologases I, he was given the kingdom of Media Atropatene by the latter after his succession to the throne.
After Vologases' death, Pacorus revolted against his brother's son and successor, Vologases II (c. 78–80), defeating and deposing him.

According to Dio Cassius Pacorus sold the kingdom of Osroene to Abgar VII, and according to Ammianus Marcellinus he enlarged the Parthian Ctesiphon and built its walls.

In the year 101, Pacorus sent an embassy to the Han Dynasty of China, the latter which recorded Parthia as the Anxi kingdom.[1]

On his numerous coins he always calls himself "Arsaces Pacorus". This mention of his proper name, together with the royal name Arsaces, shows that his kingdom was disputed by rivals. Three of them we know from coins; in addition to Vologases II, they included Artabanus III, c. 80–90 and Vologases III, from about 105.

Pacorus died about 105; he was succeeded by his brother Osroes I, who maintained the rivalry with king Vologases III based in east Parthia.

نبذة عن تيتوس :
الامبراطور الروماني تيتوس هو ثاني امبراطور من السلاله الفلافيانيه، والتي حكمت الامبراطوريه الرومانيه بين 69 و 96 ،وهي تشمل والد تيتوس فسبسيان (69 -- 79) ، و تيتوس نفسه (79 -- 81) ، وأخيرا شقيقه الأصغر دوميتيان

اسمه : تيتوس ( تيتوس فيلافيوس فاسباسيانوس- Titus Flavius Vespasianus)
ولد يوم 30 -12-39
حكم من سنة 79 حتى موته سنة 81.

أرسل تيتوس إلى يهودا (جودايا) ليتولى قيادة الجيش الذي كان يحاصر أورشليم وتم تدعيمه بكتائب يبلغ عدد كل منها ألف فرد من الفرقتين المرابطتين بمصر وذلك 70م .
وبعد سقوط أورشليم يبدو أن هذه الكتائب قد رافقت تيتوس في عودته إلى الإسكندرية .

وفي خلال فترة إقامته في مصر أظهر التقدير والتبجيل لمعبودات المصريين وقتئذ بعد أن شفع للسكندريين عند أبيه من قبل فقد حضر تقديم قربان للعجل أبيس في ممفيس وأعطى الاحتفال والمناسبة تكريمًا إمبراطوريًا بظهوره على الملأ وهو يلبس تاجًا بما يتفق والطقوس المعتادة. وعلى الرغم من أن هذا الفعل كان مقصودًا به زيادة شعبية الحكم الروماني في مصر بإظهار سماحته نحو الديانة الوطنية فقد كانت النظرة إليه في روما هي نظرة عدم الارتياح باعتباره رمزًا لرغبة في الوصول إلى العرش قبل الأوان.

أعقب سقوط أورشليم اضطرابات في الإسكندرية التي لجأ إليها متمردون يهود فروا من منطقة يهودا وحاولوا إقناع السكان اليهود المقيمين بالإسكندرية بالانضمام إليهم لخلق المتاعب والقلاقل للرومان ولكن زعماء اليهود المحليين رفضوا المشاركة في مثل هذه العملية العقيمة
وألقي القبض على بعض اللاجئين وهرب البعض الآخر إلى مصر العليا ولكنهم ألقى القبض عليهم وأعدموا.
وعلى الرغم من الاتجاه الموالي والمخلص للرومان من زعماء اليهود فإن الحكومة قررت اتخاذ خطوات لتدمير مركز من المراكز التي يمكن أن تثير الحركة الوطنية اليهودية ويتمثل هذا المركز في (معبد أونياس ) قرب رأس الدلتا.

وكان هذا المعبد قد بني أصلاً كمنافس لمعبد أورشليم، وخشي الرومان أن تنتقل مكانة وتأثير معبد أورشليم أو بعض منها إلى نظيره في مصر.
وعلى ذلك فقد نهبت كنوز معبد أونياس وحرم الدخول إليه تمامًا.

كان تيتوس هو أول إمبراطور روماني – ربما باستثناء نيرون – يبدي ميلاً لسياسة إمبراطورية حقيقية في تعاملاته مع الولايات الشرقية، ولكن لم يعش طويلاً بحيث يمكنه التأثير في مقدرات الإمبراطورية، والمعلومات الواردة عنه في مصر قليلة:
وهناك نقشان يعودان لفترة حكمه:
أحدهما يشير إلى تطهير نهر الحظ السعيد وهو الاسم الذي كان يطلق على الفرع الكانوبي للنيل مما يدل على أن صيانة الممرات المائية لم تهمل،
أما النقش الآخر فيشير إلى بناء معبد للمعبودات المنقذة (بطليموس الأول سوتير وزوجته) في بطوليمايس هيرميو (بطلمية في موقع المنشأة الحالي في سوهاج بمصر العليا) ويبدو منه أن الرومان قد سمحوا باستمرار عبادة مؤسس هذه المدينة في بطوليمايس.

Pliny the Elder, Roman naturalist, witnessed the eruption of long-dormant Mount Vesuvius and was overcome by the fumes as he tried to rescue refugees. The eruption buried the Roman cities of Pompeii, Stabiae, Herculaneum and other, smaller settlements in 13 feet of volcanic ash and pumice. An estimated 20,000 people died. The event was described by Pliny the Younger, the elder’s nephew, in a letter to Tacitus.
